**Intervention Tutor - Oldham**

**Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM**

**Contract: September 2023 - July 2024**

**Salary: £20 - £40 per hour DOE**

Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists? Do you possess a deep understanding of secondary level science curriculum and pedagogy? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an Intervention Tutor to join a dedicated team at a well-respected secondary school in Oldham.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Conducting targeted intervention sessions in small group and one-to-one settings to help students overcome challenges in science.
- Delivering engaging and tailored lessons that align with the curriculum, focusing on areas where students require additional support.
- Tracking and assessing students' progress, adapting your teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
- Collaborating with the science department to identify specific learning needs and tailor intervention plans accordingly.
- Providing constructive feedback to students and maintaining open communication with teachers, parents, and guardians.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) equivalent within the UK or a relevant qualification within Science.
- In-depth knowledge of the secondary level science curriculum and a passion for sharing your expertise with students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Experience working in an educational setting, preferably with a focus on intervention and support.
- Dedication to student success, with a patient and empathetic approach to teaching.
