Responsibilities:
- Undertake the competent excavation and recording of archaeological site excavations to a professional standard and best practice, under the direction of the Site Director
- Exhibit competence in the understanding of the nature of archaeological deposits, features, stratigraphic relationships and excavation techniques
- Compilation and maintenance of site archive to a level of professional standard and quality assurance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or related field OR demonstrable experience in archaeological site excavation and recording within the UK and/or Ireland
- Knowledge of UK/Ireland archaeology
- UK / EU Driving licence desirable
- Eligible to work in the UK essential (we are unable to provide visa sponsorship)
- Valid CSCS / CSR / Safe Pass H&S card
- ]Strong knowledge of archaeological methods, theories, and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Independent and critical thinking skills

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
**Salary**: £425.00-£490.00 per week
