Deputy Section 151

Macildowie are delighted to be working with a fantastic local authority in the North West to appoint a Deputy Section 151 Officer to provide financial and strategic leadership.

This varied and challenging Corporate Finance Manager opportunity will see you take responsibility for the delivery of the council's statement of accounts and maintain oversight of the council's Capital Programme, General and Housing Revenue Account. Youwill also take the lead on the council's Medium-Term Financial Strategy.

You will lead a high-performing finance team in order to provide an effective and efficient service to the authority, ensuring the ongoing resilience of the council's finances in line with the core government regulations. You will support and partner withsenior council members and officers to provide guidance and financial support as well as ensuring they are fully briefed on existing legislation and subsequent changes.

You will be a strong leader able to motivate and guide a team whilst also understanding the political context of working within Local Government.
