The driver will make multi-drop deliveries in the Preston and Northern England area and is key to the business as you will deliver a range of products to commercial destinations. This job is a varied role which includes making deliveries and collections, completion of paperwork, pallet and vehicle checks and providing excellent customer service.
- Responsibilities/ Key result areas:_
- Collect vehicle and goods from warehouse at the external Peston depot, adhering to their rules and regulations, and representing Braehead Foods in a positive manner.
- Complete daily safety checks of Braehead Foods vehicle
- Plan the route and prioritise workload so time commitments are met
- Delivering correct orders to customers
- Greeting customers, getting signatures to confirm goods received and giving invoices to customers
- Working with customer service and procurement to arrange credit notes for incorrect orders
- Updating delivery records
- Returning undelivered items to the warehouse
- Accurate recording of working and driving hours to comply with road transport regulations
- Ensuring temperatures are recorded at delivery point
- Van is washed inside and out at the end of the shift
- Full UK driving license
- Ability to work quickly and to tight deadlines
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Lifting and carrying skills
- Ability to complete record sheets and paperwork
- Flexible approach to working as overtime may sometimes be required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.25 per hour
