Tax Technician

Are you looking to specialise your accountancy career towards tax? Do you want to build yourself in a company devoted to your development and career growth? Our Ely based client is looking for a Tax Technician to support their expansion across the Eastof England.
You’ll enjoy a mix of general accountancy tasks while specialising towards tax, shadowing and supporting the Tax Seniors and Associates to help you learn the trade. Your main focus will be preparing drafts of self-assessment tax returns and 30 day CGT returns.This will be completed alongside the Tax Senior which will give you the opportunity to grow and improve your skills. You’ll be supporting communication across the business, providing technical knowledge to non-tax staff and promoting positive team work acrossthe business.
To succeed in this role, you’ll:

- Have a knowledge of self-assessment tax returns and be hungry to learn more to fill any gaps in your knowledge.
- Have a strong basis in finance with admin skills to back it up, a post graduate degree would be ideal.
- Be confident to communicate with HMRC and ensure positive outcomes for clients.
