**About The Role**:
Plympton Academy is seeking to appoint a dynamic and strategic Head of Maths to lead our Maths department. You will join our team of committed professionals teaching our fantastic students from years 7 -13. You will be passionate about maths and the development of maths pedagogy and curriculum. Alongside the leadership of Maths, you will also play a significant role in whole school development.

As Head of Maths you will lead by example, develop, inspire and motivate your team and be committed to achieving high standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding teacher who is now looking for promotion to Head of Department in a supportive and successful Academy or for an established Head of Maths looking to continue the improvement journey that this department has already successfully started.

- A qualified Teacher of Maths and able to deliver up to Key Stage 5
- Good or Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour
- Collaborate with other leaders and managers in raising standards within the curriculum to Good and Outstanding including all student groups.
- Be able to plan and deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum
- High expectations for yourself and the Students ensure that all of our students achieve their very best
- Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of our schools
- An aspiring leader of learning and happy to grasp exciting CPD opportunities
- Contribute to the extra-curricular life of the Academy
