**Pet Travel (Air Export) Specialist**
Century Recruitment is currently looking for a Pet Travel (Air Export) Specialist for our client based in Crawley, West Sussex. To be considered for this position you must be an animal-loving, dedicated and enthusiastic individual who has previous freight forwarding airfreight export experience to join their team of pet travel experts as a Pet Travel Specialist. Relocating pets all over the world for over 20 years they pride themselves on exceptional customer care and delivering a high-quality service to each and every one of their clients.
Working as part of the pet export team, your main role will be arranging the relocation of animals from the UK to anywhere in the world. As a pet travel specialist, you will be required to provide advice, quotations, and information on all aspects of pet travel to potential new clients, as well as making bookings and planning the pet’s journey from start to finish.
**Schedule**:
- £25- £27k depending on experience (3-month probation)
- Full time, permanent - 40hrs
- Mon
- Fri 09:00-18:00 - 1hr lunch (unpaid)
- 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
- Company laptop
**After probation/Once fully trained**:
- Company pension
- Some evening / weekend on call work (additional pay) split between department members - working from home
- On call phone provided
- Monthly layered ‘paid up’ target bonus
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Providing quotations, information & guidance to clients wishing to relocate their pets
- Familiarising yourself with airline requirements, standard industry procedures & destination country rules and regulations
- Making flight bookings with airlines and preparing travel documentation
- Have previous experience in raising airways bills and customs clearance
- Liaising with third parties such as boarding kennels, veterinary practices etc.
- Meeting clients and their pets key skills required
- Cope well under pressure - Must be pro-active and able to think on their feet
- Excellent organisational and time management skills - You will be running your own desk and looking after your own customers, so it is vital that you can plan & manage your workload effectively
- Attention to detail - This role comes with a large amount of responsibility You will be responsible for organising a pet’s relocation from start to finish & it is essential that every aspect of the move has been planned for

- Pet travel is an extremely sensitive service. This position requires someone who is committed to providing a high level of customer care and compassion at all times, and someone who is willing to go above & beyond to exceed a customer’s expectations
- Animal Lover - It is important that you are an empathetic individual who has a love of animals or even better, have pets yourself. You must be able to use your experience with animals and pets to empathise with your clients and show an understanding for any concerns they may have.
**Key Requirements**:
- Experienced in Microsoft Word and Outlook (Microsoft Excel an advantage)
- Previous experience in the pet travel/ freight industry / Exports / Customs
- Competency in English grammar, spelling, and general literacy
- Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
- Previous experience working within a busy office environment
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
