Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate Social Worker to work as a Social Worker in School (SWIS) in the Wolverhampton area. As a SWIS, you will be responsible for supporting and promoting the emotional, social and educational development of children and young people within the school environment.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting in the identification and assessment of children and young people who may require additional support
- Providing a range of interventions to support individual children and young people's wellbeing, including emotional and behavioural support, group work and mentoring
- Working in partnership with other professionals to provide a holistic and coordinated approach to supporting children, young people and their families
- Participating in and contributing to multi-agency meetings and reviews as appropriate
- Providing advice and guidance to school staff on safeguarding and child protection issues
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with professional standards and organizational policies

**Requirements**:

- A relevant qualification in Social Work (e.g. a degree in Social Work) and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Significant and recent experience of working in a social work setting with children and young people
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance relating to children's services and safeguarding
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals and agencies
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and manage competing demands effectively
