**Job Purpose**

The Project Leader is required to support and be responsible for project activity to deliver change across ASDA. The role co-ordinates change activities, including system upgrades, organisational change, data & analytics and process improvement.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Creating project plans that assist in the delivery of business project objectives. Prioritisation of activities to ensure these objectives are met.
- Supporting and being responsible for the management of project stage gates in accordance with the project management best practice and lifecycle.
- Identifying project risks, concerns and issues, and ensure these are escalated in line with the stakeholder and communication plans agreed for the project.
- Understanding the principles around prioritisation and the need to manage change to scope, timescales, costs, resourcing.
- Work with 3rd party suppliers and internal Asda functions (Asda tech, legal, procurement etc.)
- Work to deliver products in a serviceable state including hand-over to service support teams
- Negotiating and influencing across stakeholder groups to aid in the removal of financial and resource constraints.
- Work with change and comms team to ensure appropriate project communication and change is planned.
- Understanding the need to track and manage the project budget in line with PMO guidance, responsible in doing this as required.

**Experience**

Experience of working within a project delivery environment using a project methodology and lifecycle (waterfall & agile ideally).

**Qualifications**
- Prince 2 foundation, APM or equivalent - Preferred
