Personal Assistant

Hi, my name is Jodie, I am thirty-two years old and have Cerebral Palsy. I am looking for a Personal Assistant to help me with day-to-day tasks to enable me to maintain my independence within my own home, whilst also supporting me to embrace life and to live it in the way that I choose.

I am looking for a mature experienced female who is empathetic and compassionate as I have anxiety and sometimes need reassurance when faced with unfamiliar situations. A good sense of humour and the ability to hold a decent conversation is very important as once I get to know you and we establish a rapport; I love a good chat.

Moving and handling training is paramount as I use a ceiling track hoist for all transfers. I require assistance with personal care - washing and dressing, meal preparation and housework. I may also want to go out on occasion and although I am more than capable of going alone, sometimes it’s nice to have a little support, even if it’s just for company

As mentioned at the beginning of this advert I am only young so I don’t particularly like going to bed early so would appreciate if you were available and willing to assist me with my bedtime routine at 10.00pm.

Ideally, I require someone to work 16 hours per week mainly mornings and alternative weekends. My care package without additional hours for housework and outings consists of four daily visits, it is vital that you have a car, are local and don’t mind the travelling. Typically, my morning visit will last for an hour and a half, my lunchtime visit would be for half an hour, my teatime visit would be forty-five minutes, and finally my bedtime visit would last for half an hour.

I pay £12.00 per hour on weekdays and £15.00 per hour on weekends and bank holidays.
