SandwellTalking Therapies offers intervention for Depression and all anxiety disorders. As a service we consistently excel with above average moving to recovery rates, positive client feedback and exceptionally high job satisfaction from our team.

With the team having changed management in the last 2 years, a number of positive improvements have been introduced including blended (office and remote) working opportunities, the championing of specialist areas and a strong emphasis on funded CPD.

In this role the post holder will be required to attend 2 days of teaching with University of Birmingham, and provide 3 days of clinical practice per week offering assessment and High Intensity Treatment to patients presenting with common mental health problems including Depression and all anxiety disorders. The post holder will receive appropriate support and supervision throughout their training journey.

Similarly, the clinical placement is expected to take place via a combination of in-person and remote working.

**Person specificationExperienceEssential criteria**
- Demonstrable experience of working in mental health services.
- Ability to meet agreed/specified service targets.
- Ability to manage own caseload and time.
- Demonstrates high standards in written communication.
- Able to write clear reports and letters to referrers.
- Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes.

**Desirable criteria**
- Experience of working in Primary Care Services.

**KnowledgeEssential criteria**
- Demonstrates an understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care.
- Demonstrates an understanding for the need to use evidence based psychological therapies and how it relates to this post.

**Desirable criteria**
- Demonstrates a knowledge of the issues surrounding work and the impact it can have on mental health.
- Knowledge of medication used in anxiety and depression and other common mental health problems.

**Skills / Personal QualitiesEssential criteria**
- Ability to evaluate and put in place the effects of training.
- Has received training (either formal of through experience) and carried out risk assessments within scope of practice.
- Computer literate.
- Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: £35,392.00-£42,618.00 per year

**Experience**:

- of working in mental health services: 1 year (required)
- of working in Primary Care Services: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- evidence of Knowledge Skills /Attitude requirements of BABCP (preferred)
- understanding of anxiety and depression in Primary Care (preferred)
- evidence based psychological therapies realated to post (preferred)
- graduate qualification level in nursing, social work (required)
- grad qualification in OT/arts therapy/psychological therapy (required)
