Childcare Practitioner

Our aim is to provide high quality child-centred childcare for children aged 4-12 years which reflects and responds to individual needs and identity. We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing and innovative Childcare Practitioner. The ability to work in a team situation is essential and a flexible approach to working with children and their parents is required.

Practitioner duties include:

- Adhering to Care Inspectorate National Standards
- Complying with SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) Code of Practice and registration requirements
- Planning and assisting with safe, creative and appropriate play activities
- Administer First Aid as required
- Administer medicines as per policy and procedure
- Adhere to staff rules, policies and procedures
- Undertake delegated administrative duties
- Supervise junior staff to ensure compliance with staff rules, policies and procedures

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: £12.93 per hour

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
- Management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
