Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher

Location: Rotherham, UK

We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join our special school in Rotherham. Our school provides education for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties, academic delay, and social, emotional and behavioural barriers tolearning.

**Responsibilities**:

- Teach a Key Stage 3 class of approximately 10 students with complex needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties and academic delay
- Manage challenging behaviour and support children's emotional, social and behavioural development
- Collaborate with class teachers and Teaching Assistants to provide individualised support and interventions
- Encourage and motivate students to reach their full potential
- Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans

**Requirements**:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children with moderate to severe learning difficulties, academic delay and challenging behaviour
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Background in a pupil referral unit or secure mental health facility is a benefit
- A Team Teach qualification would be a benefit, but not essential.

This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent position, with the potential to become permanent on contract with the school. The salary will be pay rolled through Tradewind initially, and then moving to a contract with the school.
