In 2007 AEM Limited was acquired by AMETEK Inc, a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices as a unit within AMETEK MRO’s Aerospace and Defense Division, a recognized global provider of third-party MRO services to commercial, regional, and general aviation customers as well as military, helicopter, and business jet markets.
**ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To disassemble Hydraulic / Mechanical components down to their sub / individual components.
- To visually inspect land gear components, take and record measurements, interpret technical documentation and complete paper work.
- Liase with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and make assessments on the required MRO activities for components and assemblies.
- Carry out inspections duties which range from:
Interpreting technical data
Fault diagnosis
Identify component wear, damage, or corrosion
Using precise calibrated measuring equipment
Populate and complete computer-generated documentation
- Working from Technical data carry out assembly of various Hydraulic and Mechanical assemblies, components ready for final testing / final inspection
- Maintain and ensure implementation of all standard operating practices and procedures.
- Ensure strict compliance and implementation of all safety standards.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with CAA, EASA, FAA and company procedures.
- Comply fully with and implement all standard operating practices and procedures and safety standards.
- Liaise with the customer support team, as required, to facilitate achievement of efficient and effective customer service levels.
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Prior experience in the aviation industry.
- Computer literate - competent in Microsoft Office suite.
- Qualification in mechanical / hydraulic engineering or similar.
