Trainee Marine Inspector

Marine Inspection Services is a small, well-established ship inspection company with a worldwide client base. We are seeking a Trainee Inspector to join our specialist team which operates from our office in Dorchester.

Our inspectors conduct Visual, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), Rope Access and Drone surveys on ships at sea, in dry dock or at port across the world, producing comprehensive condition reports for our clients.

As a Trainee Inspector, your duties will be
- assisting with job preparation
- conducting surveys on board ship, under supervision as part of a team
- assisting with compilation of reports detailing condition and defects

Applicants must be physically fit, able to travel at short notice, competent in Word and Excel, and willing to study towards NDT qualifications.

Full training will be provided, both in the office and on board. This covers safety, inspection techniques, ships' structures, and reporting. Trainees can also gain industry-recognised qualifications in NDT, Rope Access and Drone Piloting.
