We are a small Community Interest Company (CIC), providing Supported Living accommodation in the Brighton and Hove area. In collaboration with a local mental health service provider, we are committed to offering safe and empowering environments for individuals with mental health and learning disability support needs. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Supported Living Housing Officer with strong organisational skills to join our team.

As a Supported Living Housing Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and well-being of our Supported Living properties. This is a part-time role with flexible hours, allowing you to work from home while also conducting regular property visits. You will be responsible for providing housing management support to our tenants, coordinating services, and promoting independent living.

Initially starting at approximately 20 hours per week on a self employed basis, with the potential to increase to a permanent full-time position. Salary: £14-£16 per hour depending on experience. Own car required - mileage compensated.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular property visits to ensure the properties meet health, safety, and quality standards.
- Maintain positive relationships with tenants, offering support, advice, and assistance with any housing-related matters.
- Work collaboratively with the mental health care team, support workers and external agencies to develop and implement personalised support plans.
- Carry out risk assessments and implement appropriate measures to mitigate potential hazards in the properties.
- Respond promptly and effectively to tenant queries, concerns, and emergencies.
- Conduct property inspections, addressing repairs and maintenance needs in a timely manner.
- Liaise with contractors and service providers to ensure property-related works are completed to a high standard.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of property management activities, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Stay informed about relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices related to Supported Living and housing management.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in housing management, ideally within the Supported Living sector.
- Knowledge of housing regulations (including HMOs), tenancy agreements and arrears management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with tenants, support workers, and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and admin skills and the ability to manage a diverse workload effectively.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to conduct property visits as required, holding a valid UK driver's license.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and property management software (Landlord Vision).
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and the ability to promote a safe living environment.
- Empathy, patience, and a person-centred approach when supporting individuals with diverse needs.
