- Our Hair & Beauty Academies here at Learning Curve Group, are based nationally we have 16 in total, 6 in London, 6 around the North West / Midlands and 4 around the North East. We are now the largest hair and beauty training provider in the UK. Our Academies are not classrooms they are real working salons / beauty therapy rooms, ensuring that our learners receive the full working experience whilst learning new skills with us. The London academies located in Borehamwood, Loughton, Croydon, Chiswick, Camden & Ham joined the business through acquisition formally known as The London Hairdressing Apprenticeship Academy when the team joined us back in late 2019, and have sine became a huge part of our business. Our most recent acquisition of White Rose Beauty and Complementary Therapies has enhanced our provision area and what we are able to offer to our learners.

**Role Information**
- We are recruiting for a Head of Academies - Hair & Beauty to oversee our London academies so someone who lives in a commutable distance is important.
- As the Head of Academies - Hair & Beauty, you will be an expert in your own right within hair or beauty and will be able to impart your knowledge and experience to our tutors to ensure our learners get an outstanding teaching experience. You will have strong leadership qualities and business knowledge so you can lead and grow the provision an these other important qualities:

**DUTIES**
- Significantly contribute to our strategic development plan which sets out the vision and key targets for the growth within our Academies
- Implement our strategic development plan to grow and develop the Academy provision in key sectors as a result of employer demand, LMI research and intelligence gathering
- Identify and implement the ongoing changes to delivery and employer relationships that will be required to support ESF Programmes, Study Programmes, Traineeships, 19+ AEB/Loans into the future
- Monitor and manage learner recruitment, success and progression in line with budgeted revenue requirements
- Ensure that all delivery is cost effective with monitoring and management of budgeted expenditure
- Responsibility for the daily/weekly/monthly managing, monitoring and reporting of KPI’s and the development and implementation of procedures and associates documentation for the employer and learner journey for all Academy provision
- Liaise with the MIS team to produce reports including analysis of KPI’s to be shared with teams as appropriate
- Develop and manage Academy staff including full time and associate assessors to ensure delivery of the provision is maintained to a high standard, with the provision fully staffed across all sites
- Effectively manage team performance and underperformance through robust and timely review
- Develop, review and revise curriculum delivery materials to support the delivery of current and new programmes
- Build strong networks with employers, Funding agencies, Schools, Local Councils, DWP, JCP, etc to identify and maximise on funding opportunities for Academies
- Contribute to research to identify new areas of employer need and new products and markets
- Contribute to the development of a marketing strategy to support the plans for growth in Academies delivery and income and to establish and maintain our reputation as an employer responsive provider
- Liaise with the other delivery teams regarding contract requirements and engagement activities for the delivery of funded provision
- Contribute to our positioning to be able to respond to the changes to the relevant funding models and develop fully costed delivery models where necessary
- Developing our Academies brand, promoting our offering to schools, parents, young people and businesses
- Work collaboratively with our Quality team to effectively monitor and manage all Academy provision, including performance management and audit compliance
- Effective development of the Academies Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), in collaboration with other associated teams, leading to Self-Assessment Report compilation for Academy delivery which contributes to the company’s strategic and operational targets
- Implement and comply with the Company’s Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, Data Protection Act and Health and Safety Policies
- Ensure the maintenance of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
