- Establish a robust and managed Data Gateway
- Deliver architectural design and implementation of development Workspaces environments, published Application environments and Dataflows
- Implementation and maintenance of permissioned data flows
- Administration of role-based access controls in line with industry best practices.
- Administer Azure Portal and other cloud engineering platforms including administration of Node configuration and capacity in Databricks
- Monitor and report on usage, performance and auditing
- Identify and resolve Service issues as appropriate, working with IT to provide structured solutions

**Key Accountabilities**
- Take a leading expert role in the design, development and on-going maintenance and refinement of the Power BI Service.
- Business SME for the Power BI Service Administration; providing cross qualification to the team to develop expertise in this area and negate a single point of failure.
- Create and maintain documentation supporting procedures and processes necessary to fulfil the administration of the Power BI Service

Responsible for the development and delivery of:

- Data Gateway, including design documentation to connect the Service to on-premise repositories
- Building, linking and chaining Power BI dataflows
- Maintaining effective data lineage for dataflows
- Design, documentation and implementation of workspaces and flows within the Power BI service
- Work within the IT teams to identify problems with or within the Power BI service and provide structured solutions to remediate issues
- Administration of Azure Active Directory Groups and Roles applicable to the Power BI Service
- Application and administration of data governance approaches and technologies applicable to Pay.UK's policy and framework requirements
- Develop RPA solutions with Power Automate
- Undertake regular monitoring and reporting on Service usage, performance and auditing of access controls
- Build and administer paginated reporting capability with applied premium capacity
- Undertake Power BI dashboard development as required to support the strategic reporting needs of the business

**Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications**
- Education - Degree, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience working with Cloud and On-premise Power BI solutions
- Experience of administering Power BI Service
- Experience of developing robotic process automation with Power Automate
- Experience of Azure AD and the management of Groups, Roles and Users
- Experience of building and maintaining Power BI Dataflows
- Working knowledge of computer programming languages including DAX, M, SQL and Java Script.
- Good knowledge and experience working with Power BI and related tools e.g. Power BI Report Builder, Dataflows, on-prem data gateways and ADLS
- Exposure to building bespoke Power BI visuals or the use of Power BI REST APIs
- Any experience with managing distributed data processing, with Databricks, Azure Data Factory and ADLS is highly desirable
- Good understanding of the Financial Services / Retail Payments market
- Knowledge of establishing, developing and implementing Power BI Service administration, including the establishment and management of on-premise Data Gateways
- Ability to build and manage Dataflows
- Excellent stakeholder management skills coupled with the ability to quickly understand stakeholder needs and define and ensure the implementation of corresponding actions
- Competent in developing advance ETL solutions with Azure Analysis Services or Azure Data Factory
- Solution oriented with bias for action and a pragmatic attitude
- Ability to anticipate and identify potential risks, limitations as well as opportunities, related to Power BI Service
- Ability to find innovative solutions to solve business problems and demonstrate intellectual curiosity and always strive to learn
- Build dashboards to visualise outputs using visualisation tools such as Power BI
