**The role**:
Our Senior Care Assistant will champion high quality care, compassion and dignity. You will work closely with our Registered Manager and Coordinator and take on responsibility for the physical, emotional, and social needs of our clients. You will mentor and supervise a team of care staff and act as a role model and support. The hours will need to be flexible, with some office based and some community based, and may change from week to week. The role will require you to commit to working ever other weekend, with one weekday off every week.

You’ll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, and meet fantastic people. Your knowledge in CQC’s KLOEs and the Fundamental Standards will grow and this will guide your work. You’ll make an impact, be challenged to think differently, and you will be bold in helping to improve things in innovative ways. You really will make a difference in the lives of our caregivers and clients.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Support and shadow new caregivers
- Attend visit to new clients and assist in building care plan tasks
- Assisting in reviewing and updating care plans ensuring they meets clients’ needs and wishes
- Support the care team to be their best selves and to enable them to meet the needs of our clients
- Carry out spot checks and observations to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered
- Observe and highlight any training needs and report back to the Registered Manager
- Complete all relevant documentation in a timely fashion
- Ensure your work is in line with quality standards & regulations
- Assist the Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose and uphold the organisations mission statement and values

- Demonstrate compassion, empathy and a person-centred approach to caring for our clients
- Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised
- Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of our caregivers and clients
- You will need to be flexible in your working hours to work unsocial hours including the odd night as required.
- Excellent communication skills are essential in this role
- A passion for delivering excellent care with compassion
- Lead by example in promoting high standards of care
- Treat people fairly, with dignity and respect
- Above allbe able to put our caregivers at the heart of all you do

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: From £13.30 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
