Filpumps, based at Thainstone, Inverurie is an engineering service company
providing a wide range of pumps and filtration systems for domestic, agricultural
and commercial customers throughout Scotland.

We are looking for a Driver/Yard Person to join us on permanent, full time basis.

The role requires flexibility to perform all necessary duties, the list includes HDPE tank assembly and stock taking, this list is not exhaustive and other duties from time to time will be necessary.

**Key Tasks**

1. Forklift operations.

2. Load customer materials onto our delivery vehicle and ensure the goods are safely strapped down.

3. Perform goods deliveries ensuring goods you deliver are unloaded safely and are signed for in good condition.

4. Assembling Graf Tanks in kit format following instructions to produce a complete unit.

5. To keep the Yard tidy and free from obstructions that would interrupt the smooth and safe flow of goods in and out.

6. To receive goods and stock into the Stores Department including the Yard and check and verify the condition and correct quantities against the purchase order.

7. To place delivered goods in the correct location.

8. Supervise waste recycling facilities and always keep this area tidy.

9. Supervise the removal and safe disposal of all waste materials from the Yard.

10. Share any customer feedback or changes in buying circumstances with your supervisor.

11. Assist other departments with such as labouring activities, as necessary.

**Performance Measures**

1. Maintain the set build standard and productivity when building tanks.

2. Accurate receipt of delivered goods against purchase order.

3. Deliver goods on time and without damage by driving the vehicle safely and within the Road Rules Legislation.

4. Always Keeping the Goods Delivery Vehicle and the Yard clean and tidy.

5. To present a clean and tidy image to our customers, and to always be polite and courteous, and assist them with goods offloading and placement in a safe area.

6. Maintain the Goods Delivery Vehicle, perform daily vehicle checks including, but not limited to load straps/ropes.

7. To perform your duties to the best standards possible following our safe working procedures and Policies.

8. Demonstrating flexibility within the role and maintaining safe working standards.

**Key Skills**

1. Full clean Driving Licence.

2. Be courteous and helpful to our customers.

3. Effective communication with your colleagues to assist in Team working to achieve our targets and provide customer feedback.

4. Have a Current Forklift Operators Licence

5. Experience in securing loads safely.

6. Goods delivery planning of routes and delivery locations to maximise safety and efficiency.

7. Flexibility within the varied role to provide the business with assistance, when necessary, within your capabilities.

8. Knowledge of business processes and organisational structure.

9. Always work safely and to the company safety policies.

**Experience**:

- Delivery driver experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Driving: 1 year (preferred)
- Towing Trailer: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
