**Junior Merchandiser**

**Greater Manchester**

**£22,000 - £26,000 plus benefits**

You will report into and work alongside the e-commerce Merchandiser to provide vital support in ensuring that stock holding is proactively managed to ensure there are no missed sales opportunities by ensuring stock is in the right place at the right time.

This role would ideally suit someone who has worked as a Senior Assistant Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser level in either an on-line or retail merchandising team and can demonstrate a commercial approach when analysing data, reviewing forecasts or planningstock and production.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Support the Merchandiser in the review of sales forecasts and demand for all channels through analysis of stock and sales data to identify commercial opportunities and maximise sales.
- Manage and control the call-off of stock from the factory ensuring that stock flows smoothly and efficiently and is available at all times for customer orders.
- Ensure safety stock cover levels are maintained and propose any adjustments in cover levels in line with demand and performance fluctuations.
- Be responsible for New Product and Promo stock for multi-channel, ensuring that stock is made available at the right times and initial production is planned to hit scheduled launch dates.
- Manage the production and timely despatch of orders for any order to order channels.
- Work together with the sales team and DC to ensure stock is available for key customers such as Amazon by ensuring demand information is received in a timely manner and any additional production requirements are planned and produced.
- Deal with all incoming stock queries from both retail and online customer orders and requests and look to resolve in a timely and efficient manner.
- Identify, manage and control overstocks and free stocks to ensure all sales opportunities are maximised and stock-holding is kept in line with budgeted levels.

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Strong Excel skills - currently working at an advanced level including formulae, VLOOKUP & pivot tables.
- Customer-focused attitude.
- Previous experience in Sage 200 would be highly advantageous.
- Comfortable working in an environment of constant change.
- Numerate with keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication & organisational skills, ability to prioritise conflicting priorities.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines to meet customer requirements.
- Flexible approach to work as a team player with ability to co-ordinate between functions.
- Professional approach, with confidence to represent the company.
- Good work ethic is essential, as is reliability and commitment to the company.
