The Tutor will plan, deliver and assess all components of the Learners framework including NVQ and Functional Skills, with particular emphasis on teaching and learning.
The Tutor is responsible for ensuring learners achieve their individual learning plans, achieve their 20% Off the Job training, are well-supported, and have a positive experience during their work based learning programme.
All teaching, learning and assessment will take place where the apprentices are employed and it is expected that high quality delivery will support the continuous improvement and success of our provision.

**Principal Responsibilities**:
1. To comply with all safeguarding responsibilities and undertake safeguarding and Prevent training as required
2. To refer any safeguarding/Prevent concerns to your local Designated Safeguarding Officer DSO and follow the UKTD policy and procedure.
3. Ensure all potential learners have completed an effective initial assessment prior to or on commencement of their training programmes
4. Ensure that all learners have an effective and memorable induction
5. Create an individual learner programme taking into account each learner’s individual starting point
6. Work closely with the employer to deliver the programme
7. Monitor individual learner’s progress closely through Onefile e-portfolio, to ensure timely completion of all qualifications, as well as maintaining data on their progression
8. Ensure all learners are working and learning in a safe and supportive environment via the appraisal and review of the Health & Safety in the workplace. Ensure the employer follows Health & Safety guidelines and procedures
9. Ensure that all learners are given the appropriate support, including those with Additional Learning Needs and Additional Special Needs, in order for them to meet framework/standards requirements and other agreed goals. Support with these learners will be available where applicable
10. Teach, deliver and assess some elements of the English and Maths Functional Skills, including the Speaking and Listening and preparing the learners for their functional skills tests
11. Ensure that all assessment and testing in respect of the vocational theory and practical is carried out in accordance with IQA, Awarding Body and UKTD policies and procedures
12. Maintain all records and relevant paperwork to the required Company, ESFA and Ofsted standards
13. Complete exit interviews
14. Develop resources as required
15. Attend OTLA visits with your Skills Coach to ensure good practice in teaching, learning and assessment
16. Attend team meetings and training activities in order to maintain required development and CPD. This may require you to travel.
18. Contribute to the marketing of UKTD course programmes
19. Attain KPIs as set by line manager:
a. Caseloads
b. Retention and achievement
c. Level 2 to level 3 conversions
d. OTLA observations
e. Sampling and portfolios
f. Marketing
20. Update personal Calendar 3 months in advance. Manage own diary to ensure effective use of time
21. To deliver quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) as part of the holistic service that we provide. To ensure that all learners, employers and employees have access to appropriate Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to support their educational, occupational and career choices and for any pastoral concerns they may have. To recognise and provide external referral agency support as and when required
22. To provide impartial information, advice and guidance to learners at all stages of their learning journey, including; pre-learning, induction, in-learning, post-learning and exit that enables them to make informed choices about their options and next steps in relation to their chosen course programme/s and aspirations
23. To use IAG to support the organisation in promoting and achieving its business objectives and core values, both internally and externally
24. Additionally, use IAG to provide a range of opportunities for learners, employers and partners to make informed choices about their training and development needs
25. To use feedback from employers/learners, awarding bodies, Curriculum & Quality department and management to ensure that necessary improvements and complaints are dealt with
26. To comply with all UKTD policies and procedures to include: Safeguarding, IAG and all other UKTD policies to meet the requirement and standards set by the organisation and other relevant body
