We are looking for a self-motivated, patient/service focused individual who will contribute to and work well within our existing team in the Pharmacy Production Unit.

To be considered for this role you should have good organisational and communication skills, an eye for detail, good accuracy skills and ability to use your own initiative and work to time schedules under pressure.

An Assistant Technical Officer working in the Production Unit undertakes a wide range of duties related to the preparation, labelling, distribution and storage of both sterile and non-sterile products. This may include chemotherapy, nutritional feeds and over-labelling of oral medications for use throughout the Health Board.

This position will involve some duties to be undertaken in a controlled environment and the successful applicant will also be required to assist with environmental monitoring and maintenance of working areas.

Following recruitment, you will be required to undertake the NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services and also be given the opportunity to attend courses where appropriate to further your development.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
