Simpson Judge East Midlands are working with a rapidly growing business located in Leicester as they look to build on their finance team. They are looking to appoint a Ledger Clerk to support the Finance Manager. They have great offices located not too far from Junction 21 of the M1 and would be commutable from areas such as Leicester, Leicestershire, Coventry, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Coalville and Loughborough.
The business were founded around 20 years ago and have been on the mission to be leaders in their industry. They have won several awards and the Managing Director is decorated with numerous accreditation's, a sign that things are doing amazingly
The role for the Ledger Clerk will include areas such as:
- Recording and processing invoices from suppliers
- Making payments to suppliers
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Coding and filing invoices
- Maintaining the purchase ledger
- Preparing reports on accounts payable
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements
- Managing petty cash
- Processing employee expenses
- Ad hoc tasks assigned by the Finance Manager
The successful Ledger Clerk will find them come from either an existing finance background or those with limited experience coming from university as a Graduate. Other areas to be successful include:
- Prior experience working within finance
- Purchase ledger / Sales ledger experience desirable
- Finance knowledge is essential
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to make this role their own
- Proactive approach to work, finding smart ways to get things done
- Comfortable to commute to their Leicester offices
The package on offer for the Ledger Clerk includes:
- Salary of £22,000 to £30,000 depending on experience
- 28 days holiday inclusive
- 2 week festive shutdown
- Flexible working
- Ability to work closely with the Managing Director
