The successful applicant will play an active role in the teaching and training of undergraduate medical students, junior doctors and other medical staff within: NELFT; Barts & The London School of Medicine and Dentistry (SMD); and the London Deanery..
NELFT covers a large geographical area and the role requires you to have the ability to travel effectively throughout these sites when required.
This will include developing and delivering Trust in house teaching programmes, and attending the London Deanery monthly learning sets and Faculty Development Programme
The post holder will undertake projects in medical education, under the supervision of the Director of medical education, Undergraduate Associate Dean and postgraduate tutors, and will be supported to attend a formal university course in medical education, with potential to pursue this to diploma or masters level.
The post carries a clinical commitment of two sessions per week, to be arranged within the psychiatric subspecialty of the successful applicant’s choice within NELFT, and the successful applicant will join the on call rota covering Goodmayes and Waltham Forest.
