Overview

Our client is an independent firm of chartered accountants, based in Worcestershire. Due to their rapid growth, they are looking for a Manager / Assistant Managerto support their senior teamwith managing the affairs of a small number of clients.

About the role

This role would suit a self-motivated and organisedindividual, looking to take the next step in their career. Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Manager / Assistant Manager will provide accountancy and bookkeepingservices to clients.

Key aspects of the role include:

- Carrying out client services such as building relationships, assisting with queries and setting up and developing internal systems and controls for clients;
- Training junior members of the team on accounts software and processes;
- Preparing bookkeeping, records up to trial balance level and management accounts all for review;
- Reviewing VAT returns and preparing financial statements;
- Taking responsibility on technical matters and resolving any problems which may arise;
- Promoting the firm and identifying opportunities for obtaining new business development.

The ideal person

The position would suit an excellent communicator with strong people skills. The person will be able to work under pressure with accuracy and focus and will demonstrate excellent analytical and research skills.
