**Job Description Job Title**: Phlebotomist Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Post: Clinical Duties: Phlebotomy and specimen collection Other Duties: Maintenance of the treatment area, examination rooms and equipment Control of cross infection - disinfection, sterilisation, contaminated waste Stock control phlebotomy supplies Updating patient computer records Liaison with Nurses and Doctors regarding patient care Provision of statistical information, where necessary, for audit/management purposes Monitor effectiveness of the system and report any problems or variations required Any other delegated duties considered appropriate to the post.
