**SUPERVISOR - Farm Shop**
- **Contract**: Permanent, full-time
- **Hours**: Monday to Friday (8.00am-5.10pm or 9.00am-6.10pm) with a contracted day off each week, plus working alternate weekends.
- **Salary**: £26,100 to £28,572 (depending on experience)
- **Location**: Esher, Surrey

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor to join the Farm Shop team at our Garden Centre in Esher. The role will be responsible for the **Deli**, **Chilled Food**, **Bakery** and **Frozen** departments.

We are seeking an individual who can deliver a first-class customer experience through sharing their own genuine passion for food to maximise sales, while supporting and developing fellow team members.

**The responsibilities of the role are to**:

- Provide our customers with an exceptional level of service by assisting them in selecting products, answering questions, providing recommendations and samples.
- Ensure Garsons merchandising and housekeeping standards of the department are maintained.
- Ensure displays are innovative, practical and maintained, and that these are refreshed on a regular basis.
- Champion stringent food handling and safety standards, ensuring adherence to all health, safety and hygiene regulations.
- Operate deli and bakery equipment, such as slicer, oven etc.
- Order product using our retail management system.
- Communicate effectively at all levels.
- Carry out everyday duties such as advising customers; stock replenishment; stock taking; stock rotation; maintaining records; lifting and moving stock.
- Be responsible for the Farm Shop in the absence of your Line Manager.
- Assist your Line Manager in their role and undertake any task as deemed reasonable.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures. If supplemented by qualifications in food hygiene would be an advantage but not compulsory.
- A genuine passion for food and a keen eye for detail.
- Previous experience within a retail or culinary environment.
- Competence and confidence to work with computers.
- Previous experience in a team supervision / management role.
- Ability to work on their own initiative.
