At the core of our Transport function are our Paramount team of **Transport Planners**. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our planning team here at Gist. The Network Planning Centre (NPC) operates at the heart of Gist’s transport function and is responsible for planning food and goods for the UK’s leading retailers.

**What’s the opportunity?**

Earning potential: up to £36,000 per annum, dependant on experience

**Shift Pattern**: Any 5 out of the 7 days, working every other Sunday

**Working hours**: 7am
- 3:30pm

**About the role**

As a Transport Planner you will be responsible for planning products through the Gist network for well-known retailers. Strong communication skills will be vital to ensuring a solid relationship with depots and customers throughout the UK. Working in a fast-paced environment, we encourage creativeness and thinking outside the box to ensure that efficient plans are created.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Using the Paragon Software planning tool to produce efficient plans for our depots and associated customers, whilst adhering to strict service requirements.
- Analysing plans to identify network opportunities to reduce costs, drive efficiency to minimise our environmental impact and maximise profits
- Working with the operational teams to facilitate the delivery of initiatives
