**Job Description Summary**: As a member of the Naval team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting an exemplary security culture across the business as Programme Security Control Officer.

Although largely internally focused, you will need to work closely with key stakeholders from across the company and out into the Defense Nuclear Enterprise, Industry, and other government departments to ensure a coherent and coordinated approach to security in support of this culture. You will understand current and anticipated threats and use this information to assess and mitigate risks and threats to delivery.

Reporting into the Project Director for all security related matters you will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day management of Security which may be relevant to the security of Naval Nuclear Work and ensuring that the Parties comply with their obligations under the FSC Requirements. You will be able to demonstrate an accomplished background in physical, Information, cyber and procedural security and be well-versed in Security Risk Management principles. Having a prior Knowledge and understanding of IT systems and segregation of Secure Local Area Networks (SLAN) from Local Area Networks (LAN), is a key attribute.

A positive attitude, excellent presentation and writing skills, and the ability to work well with a diverse range of stakeholders will be vital to our collective efforts to take security to the next level.

**Your Role**:

- Dealing swiftly with security incidents, conduct damage assessments, and deliver counter-compromise activities. Capturing and sharing Learning from Experience. Able to identify opportunities and threats and build process to prevent issues occurring.
- Capturing, reporting, and managing security risks within the business.
- Assuring that security clearance / vetting processes are applied appropriately across the business.
- Striving to achieve a secure Information Management (IM) strategy in accordance with Defense Standards and business needs ensuring compliance with the customer requirements.
- Prior knowledge of managing/controlling/handling data up to and including SECRET. Conduct regular muster and implement control measures as required.
- Good understanding of IT asset and data transfer measures including transportation between sites, including MoD Publication JSP 440.
- Experience in carrying out security audits to ensure personnel/business/suppliers are remaining within security requirements and not impacting accreditation. Leading interaction with customer/end customer security audits.
- Developing and maintaining effective stakeholder and support networks to facilitate efficiency, support delivery and trade in best practice.
- Working closely with industry partners, and their supply chain, to ensure and assure security is maintained to the contracted requirements.
- Management of information asset, security accreditation and cyber on behalf of the information asset manager.
- Develop and manage security protocols for documentation and hardware to include build security requirements of Secure facility. You will ensure that the Business is compliant with, and maintains in full force and effect, certification pursuant to the FSC Requirements.
- Working collaboratively with other security professionals in the wider Defense Enterprise to drive consistency, contingency and resilience into the business.

- Specialist knowledge and expertise of being within a similar role and experience in assessing a wide range of security and project deliverables.
- Able to demonstrate successful relevant experience.
- Good working knowledge of Defense security policy, predominantly that relating to information and personnel and physical security.
- Excellent influencing skills dealing with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Ability to travel within the UK
