**Salary**:£9.50 per hour

Our client is a 20-bed specialist residential home providing care for the elderly including people with Dementia.

The company are looking for a part time Cook to work either every weekend, or alternate weekends with 2 days in week.They are also looking for temporary full time kitchen cover from 26th December to 20th February 2023.

**The Role**

You will be in sole charge of the small commercial kitchen, with assistance during busy periods from the care staff team. The company follow the food for life 'gold level' standards. All their food is cooked from fresh ingredients. They do not use artificialingredients or processed food products. They do not use vegetable oil in any of their cooking.

The kitchen shift runs from 7am to 2pm.

**The Role**

**Duties include**:

- Preparing breakfasts, dinners and teas
- Baking all snacks (cakes, buns, biscuits)
- Preparing freshly made soup
- Preparing daily smoothies
- Baking fresh bread daily
- Making homemade ice-cream
- Cleaning the kitchen/pots

**Role Requirements**
- Experience cooking and baking, in either a paid, voluntary, or home-based capacity
- A love for cooking from scratch, baking and food preparation
- Organised and tidy
- A caring and friendly attitude
- Reliable and punctual
