**The Role**:
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will deliver facilities management grounds maintenance services and support to the respective standard and ensure the key first and last impressions on the site.

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for undertaking maintenance, such as tree work, strimming, mowing grass to a specific height around our explosives area and potential for pressure washing tasks in the future. You will also;
Provide grounds maintenance and support services including specialist grounds services including attention to pest and tree hazards

Maintain knowledge / awareness of grounds / land legislative, standards & technical requirements and developments

Prioritisation of work programme to satisfy business needs

Form part of the on call rota during periods on inclement weather, supporting site preparations & response to enable ongoing safe access / use of premises

Oversee the conduct of contractors on site, monitoring the implementation & performance of tasks allocated

Identify & ensure all key assets are available and appropriately maintained, making recommendations on improvements & additional requirements to FM / business leads as appropriate

**Essential Experience of the Grounds Maintenance Operative**:
Proactive, drive and enthusiasm ' can do approach'

Excellent inter-personal and communication skills

Ability to organise / prioritise work / problem solve

Ability to thrive as part of a team and work independently where appropriate

Flexibility to work across different areas

Manual handling awareness / risk appreciation

Previous experience in a similar role

**Qualifications for the Grounds Maintenance Operative**:
Full driving licence

Ability to safely deploy equipment / processes
