**The Post**

The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking College Administrator to work in the College’s Independent Learning Centre (ILC) and administer the Directed Study (DS) Programme ensuring referred students are timetabled appropriately and work effectively towards their targets and ensuring students have appropriate work. In periods of time when the DS is not operational or not at capacity, you will carry out general administrative duties around the College assigned to you by the Associate Principal (Teaching and Learning) including supporting in the ILC, Student Services/Reception, Learning Support or Exams.

The post is available from 1 September 2023 on a permanent part-time, term-time only basis. The hours of work are from 8.45am to 11.15am, Monday to Wednesday, term-time only (17.63%).

It is anticipated that the post holder will spend the majority of their time working specifically in the ILC, but a flexible approach to working will be required according to demand and the time in the academic year.

The post requires commitment and excellent organisational skills. Previous experience of working within a study or library environment is desirable, but not essential. The post holder will spend a significant amount of the working day in a busy environment and will be required to regularly interact with students.

The post carries an expectation for some very occasional mandatory evening activities (Open Evenings). However, there are numerous optional opportunities for evening work (Interview Evenings for Students) should the postholder be interested in them for additional remuneration.

**Department**

The ILC is located in its own building and is equipped with desktop computer stations and quiet working desks. Students are able to loan laptops from this facility, along with books, journals and magazines. There are four other members of the team who work closely together to ensure effective support for students.

**Salary**

The annual salary for the post is £3,776.52 per annum (FTE £21,421) with annual increments to £3,770.37 per annum (FTE £22,634). Although the post is for 39 weeks per year only, the annual salary will be divided into twelve monthly payments.

- Any experience of handling sensitive data
- Your experience of working independently and as part of a team
- Any other relevant experience relating to the post
