The Company:
Theo James are excited to be supporting a fantastic manufacturer based in Seaham looking for a HSE Advisor to join their hugely successful operation. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive HSE programs to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe working environment. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks, conduct regular audits, and provide training to staff on HSE procedures.

**Job Description**:

- Being the site competent person who provides knowledge and guidance to business management and staff for all aspects of health and safety
- Promoting and maintaining a positive health and safety culture that comprises employee engagement, risk assessment and the management of safe systems of work.
- Leading all accident investigations including those related to RIDDOR Reportable Accidents, Lost Time Accidents and High Potential Incidents across the site whilst collaborating with site management to significantly reduce or eliminate repeat occurrences.
- Conduct training and coaching at all levels to promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation.
- Be involved with operational teams to develop and maintain local forums to promote health and safety best practice, policies and systems.
- Support setting of health and safety strategy and targets for the site. Identify health and safety improvement opportunities and develop action plans for implementation with clear accountabilities. Make decisions on appropriate corrective actions with respect to accident investigations, Site Audits, and risk assessments in consultation with site leadership.
- Continually develop effective communication media and supply information that is relevant for the following: Notice Boards, SAT Teams, Site Leadership Meetings, Internal & External Performance Reports, Individual PDR Information, and Safety Bulletins.
- Support the process of auditing quality on Accident Investigations, Site Internal Audits and Risk Assessments and feedback to site management teams to drive continuous improvement. Develop and support the delivery of training to the front line teams on safety systems and requirements including safe operating practices.
- Liaise with HSE in respect of compliance to legislation, and Mission Personal Liability Insurers in respect of personal injury compensation claims. Provide a comprehensive and up to date library of reference material on safety issues, legislation and Mission Health and Safety systems.
- Control of all health and safety documentation within document control procedure for Risk Assessment and Incident Investigation.

Skills and Requirements:

- Requirement for NEBOSH Certificate or Level 3 Equivalent.
- Approved General Risk, PUWER, DSE, Manual Handling assessment trained
- Manufacturing experience essential

Pay: £45,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
