- £35,143 - £39,245 (DOE & Qualifications) OTE
- Overtime rates at time and a half

- At Greenleaf House, we have permanent, full-time (at 40h pw) and part-time contracts availableThis role means working 14-hour shifts always followed by a sleepover on a pattern of 2 days on & 3 days off. Can you commit to this working pattern?_
- SVQ Level 4 in Social Care desirable_
- PVG & SSSC Registration within 3 months is essential for this role_
- UK Driving Licence is essential_
**A day in the life of a Senior RCPand no 2 days are ever the same**
- To provide care and support to our children & young people in accordance with policies and procedures and practice a Therapeutic Parenting approach to delivering the role.
- To provide care and support to our children and young people in accordance with policies and procedures and participate in a mindful, teamwork approach to childcare practice
- The Senior Practitioner will provide a supervisory and mentoring role to practitioners who will be providing a caring role to our young people and ensure that the care team have the skills, knowledge, and ability to care for children and young people effectively
- To support on call arrangements as a Senior Member of the team
- Assist with management tasks including finance, staffing, recruitment, training, and environment
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of standards
- To contribute to the assessment process for young people and be involved with on-going support programs in conjunction with other key employees.
- To always ensure positive support to children & young people.
- To attend planning and review meetings where appropriate.
- To participate in a key person system.
- To ensure relevant reports are kept in addition to appropriate record keeping information collection and exchange.
- To work within a shift system including night duty.
- To undertake health & safety checks and other safety/security checks as necessary.
- To participate in on-going training as directed for the maintenance and development of relevant skills for the successful delivery of your duties.
- To implement de-escalation and physical intervention strategies as necessary and appropriate in line with mandatory training.
- Promote young peoples’ participation, to ensure young people are actively involved in the environment and day to day activities of the home.
- To comply with the code of conduct as required by the SSSC.
- To be fully aware of safeguarding and child protection issues.
- To fully understand the reporting process of child protection within service.
- To understand the principles of safeguarding young people, staff, and self.
- To have a full understanding of the emergency call out procedures of the house.
- To promote structure, boundaries, and domestic routines within the house.
- Participate in, and complete records for statutory reviews and meetings concerning the children & young people were required.
- Undertake relevant training programs as required by the Company, SSSC & National Care Standards and be responsive to own personal development.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe, hygienic, and clean environment.
