Senior Calf Rearer

The job involves all aspects of calf rearing in a modern, large scale beef rearing business.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the care and management of calves in a farm setting
- Feed and water calves according to established protocols
- Monitor the health and well-being of calves, including administering medications as needed
- Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in calf housing areas
- Monitor and record data related to calf growth and development
- Operate and maintain equipment used for feeding and caring for calves
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in calf rearing or animal care preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with calf care
- Basic math skills for measuring feed quantities and calculating medication dosages
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols for calf care
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

5 day working week Rota to include alternate weekends.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
