**How you'll make a difference**:

South Gloucestershire Council provides support to those in the community who are disabled, have learning difficulties, experience of care, homelessness, and other vulnerable groups. We know that these issues effect young people just as they do adults. It is crucial that the lived experience and voice of young people are front and centre of our discussions, so that their diverse views, experience, and ideas influence our work to continuously deliver outcomes.

We know there are so many young people in South Gloucestershire with experience we can learn from. We are seeking to recruit two young people (aged 18 to 25) from varied backgrounds, who can provide vital insight into the lives of young people in and around South Gloucestershire. You will also have the opportunity to share your experiences of Council services.

As a Young Ambassador, you will be able to influence planning and decision making at all levels of the Council, representing our younger members of the community, and helping to make positive changes for young people.

- Working alongside other council colleagues, you will assist with the creation of training exercises for staff to provide further understanding of young people.
- You will help to create digital campaigns and messages to promote awareness of young people in the area.
- You will be provided support to champion diversity, equality and inclusion, and to challenge colleagues when necessary.
