**Copthorne Hotel Manchester** is seeking a **Reservations Agent **who will be responsible for handling all room reservation requests to the required standard, maintain accurate and complete records of all reservations and maximise revenue potential for the hotel.

**The Reservations Agent Key Responsibilities will include**:

- Being knowledgeable in the operation, functionality and standards required in using the OPERA reservations system.
- Adhering to the Minimum Rate/Minimum Stay Selling strategies, where required, as implemented by the IDEAL Yield Management System, whilst always attempting to gain the highest possible revenue advantage for the hotel based on the agreed strategy.
- Inputting Reservations into the OPERA reservations system, ensuring all details are accurate and complete in line with the agreed departmental standard.
- Maintaining accurate filing systems for all correspondence within the department and ensure all filing is completed daily.
- Working closely with the Front Office team and supporting them with the provision of up to date, accurate details of reservations.

**The Experience & Qualifications for a Reservations Agent**:

- Previous experience as a Reservations Agent or Receptionist
- Knowledge of a computerised Property Management System, e.g., OPERA
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and communication and the ability to communicate effectively
- Confident individual who is adept in prioritising and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to take the initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last minute changes
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential data appropriately complying with GDPR requirements
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, resourceful with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrate excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills with the guests and other hotel departments
- A team player
- Have the ability to work to a high standard in a fast paced environment

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester sits peacefully on the attractive Salford Quays waterfront and is within easy reach of MediaCityUK. The hotel offers modern guest rooms with a choice of Standard, Club or Suite accommodation. The Clippers Brasserie offers a traditional menu with views over Salford Quays. The Clippers Bar serves hearty pub food throughout the day with pre-dinner and pre-match drinks available.
