Care Assistant

20 hours per week, term time only

Required from: 1 September 2023

The Governors of Heaton School are seeking to appoint Care Assistants to join this ‘outstanding’ and well-respected school. Heaton School is based on two sites, a large site in Heaton Moor and a small site in Cheadle Heath. We are a Secondary Special School for teenagers and young adults with complex, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties.

We are a school with a strong community feel and ethos. School-based staff are made up of: teachers, teaching assistants, midday support, therapists, a nursing team, office staff, caretaking staff, and kitchen staff. Teamwork at our school is strong.

The post of Care Assistant is a new and exciting role within the school. The role will be vital in supporting school.

Applications are welcomed by people who may wish to combine the role with another (For example
- another part-time role in special education; students studying in ICT courses; parents returning to work after a stay-at-home role)
