**Due to growth a great opportunity for a time served CNC Machinist to join a fantastic organisation in Caerphilly. This permanent role offers a good benefits package of onsite parking, 5 weeks holidays, pension scheme and end of year company profitability bonus.**

**The starting salary will be £ 25,106 plus shift allowance rising to £28,116 plus shift allowance after 6 months**

**This role operates on 2 shift patterns working on rolling 2 weekly basis working**:
**Mornings Monday - Thursday 6am - 2.30pm, 6am - 12 noon Friday.**

**Afternoons Monday - Wednesday 2pm - midnight, Thursday 2pm - 11.30pm**

You will be working in a team of machinists in the machining of valve components, in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
Reporting to: Machine Shop Supervisor/Machine Shop Manager

**Duties**:
The machining of valve components in accordance with company standards and customer requirements
Ability to understand Engineering drawing, to ensure the programs and setting sheets are updated and controlled
Ensure that all work undertaken is done in a safe manner in accordance with Health & Safety procedures
To carry out the inspection of components prior to delivery to stores

Time served apprenticeship in machining would be ideal
Recognised technical qualification in a related discipline (e.g. HND, Apprenticeship trained etc.)
Computer literate use of windows based environment

**What is needed**:
Experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience in a machining role
Experience of CNC Programming/machining
Understanding of Lean manufacturing tools/techniques
