**The Opportunity**:
Edinburgh College of Art is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced administrator to work as part of our Student and Academic Support Team Underpinning a great student and staff experience you will contribute through a range of essential administrative tasks from updating student records to helping triage and respond to basic student and staff enquiries. We are a large team, and as with other University jobs, the year has a number of exceptionally busy periods where we look to the whole team to contribute to deliver consistently high-quality support to the students and staff who use our service.

The post is fixed term and will support us as we implement new services and a restructure within the team as part of the 2023 introduction of a University wide new model of student support. We are seeking someone who combines great administrative skills including attention to detail and ability to juggle competing demands, with a genuine interest in contributing to the development of our new team as we embed a range of new roles and support.

**We are happy to consider secondments from elsewhere in the University.**

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- N/SVQ 3 or equivalent, and/or relevant administrative work experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer care skills.
- Must be flexible, approachable, and helpful, able to deal confidently and sensitively with students who may be upset or anxious, and able to deal with people firmly but tactfully when needed.
- A high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive in creating and improving office systems and procedures.
- Flexible and adaptable to changes in systems and business processes.
