We are recruiting for an experienced Sister / Charge Nurse to join an Oncology-Haematology Outpatients Unit in a private hospital in Central London.

This is a permanent full time position working 37/5 hours per week.

**Shift/Working Pattern**: Monday to Friday-9am-5:30pm.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the delivery of high standards of care and service to the patients and to work within a team to provide assessment and evaluation of care.
- Use evidence-based practice, quality assurance and clinical audit in all aspects of nursing care.
- Act as role model providing leadership to the wider nursing team as well as undertake the role mentor for student nurses and junior staff within the unit.
- Participate in appraisal and performance review meetings, and assist in the recruitment and retention of staff for the unit.
- Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies, and act as deputy in the absence of the Unit Manager & Deputy Manager.
- Organise workloads in-line with clinical priorities with the ability to work autonomously and also as part of a team.

**Skills & Experience Required**:

- Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Post registration experience in oncology or in acute medicine.
- Experience in the administration of cytotoxic drugs and relevant qualification
- Knowledge of oncological conditions and diseases, and knowledgeable of cytotoxic drugs and therapies preferred, as well as the JACIE and CHKS standards and implementing them into clinical practice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to prioritise workload and dealing with distressing and challenging situations.
