Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

**Salary**: £28,000 plus Car Allowance

Menzies Distribution has an excellent opportunity for an Operational Process & System Support Specialist to join our Central Operations team.

You will provide key support to our operations teams in relation to operational systems and processes and to assist with the development and delivery of operational solutions to meet the needs of the business, including standard operating procedures and agreed best practice.

You will be challenged from day one to analyse issues and inefficiencies within our operations to identify effective practice to improve results and positively guide our operations teams.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Support the depot operation by engaging with management and staff within the various locations, providing training and best practice guidelines to deliver operational excellence
- Provide a close and effective relationship with depot management to assist with operational performance and KPI's, working with them to identify efficiency & process improvement opportunities.
- Continue to develop a suit of materials and information which enables the sharing of best practice, standard operating procedures, and techniques to empower teams across the business to improve processes and service
- Support/implement best practice process guidelines and training material.
- Support the delivery of value creation and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity and waste within business processes
- Demonstrate ability to resolve problems and present appropriate business solutions and recommendations.
- Liaise with both internal and external customers, as required, during the course of the business activities
- Providing SAP system support and resolve incidents assigned to the team.
- Communicate regularly with Department Heads, Business Leaders and Operational Management Teams when engaged in projects or key tasks to determine business requirements and propose solutions
- Provide on call support on a rota basis, for incidents relating to operational systems or process. Investigate and address and communicate updates to deliver the required standards and minimise any impact on the business.
- Conduct internal audits to identify any risks or opportunities for improvement, and ensure we are meeting our customer expectations and business needs
- Travel to depots may be required to provide training and project support.
- Adhoc administrative tasks

**WHAT YOU NEED**:

- Full UK driving Licence
- Will have ability to interpret information, analyse and provide solutions in a timely manner
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge SAP Logistics, operational systems and processes
- Confident ability with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
- Have presentation and representation skills
- Nationwide travel and overnight stays, including occasional working at night or weekends when required
- Out of Hours on call support, on a rota basis
