Using an understanding of the regulations and procedures, you will help ensure the maintenance of discipline and an environment conducive to academic work and wellbeing; your communication skills, fair and non-judgemental approach and passion for a transformative student experience will be key.

As Student Conduct and Complaints Officer, you can expect to get involved in:

- effectively managing student misconduct and complaints and undertaking the related administration
- maintaining relationships with members of the local community and external organisations, responding to complaints and student safety concerns
- liaising with the Community Life Officer to develop student-led community initiatives
- experience of working in a higher or further education institution or equivalent, in the capacity of having contact with students and an understanding of student misconduct and complaints
- excellent administration skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- excellent listening, investigatory and problem-solving skills
- the ability to act with discretion, deal with difficult and sensitive situations and maintain high levels of confidentiality whilst using tact and diplomacy

What we can offer you:
As a member of our team at the University of Kent, you can expect a friendly, open and collaborative working environment and support in your development and well-being throughout your time with us. Our beautiful main campus in Canterbury is set among green and tranquil open space overlooking the spectacular Cathedral. You'll enjoy a range of great staff benefits, including:
