Connells Group have a fantastic opportunity for a **Part Time ER Manager**, working 2.5 -3 days a week in our **Milton Keynes** office providing commercial and legally sound advice on employee relations matters.
**Purpose of job**
**Responsibilities of an ER Manager**:

- Consistently delivering a professional and proactive approach, enabling managers to achieve their objectives, through coaching, and the provision of ER advice that is prompt, persuasive, effective, and evaluates risk. This will include areas such as: PerformanceManagement, Disciplinary, Grievance, Whistleblowing, Absence Management, Diversity, Tribunals etc.
- Providing training to the ER Specialists, being a role model and offering support and guidance where appropriate
- Supporting changes to and the implementation of any new ER policies and procedures. Working collaboratively with colleagues in Group HR Transformation to ensure full understanding and embedding of new ways of working.
- Proactively identifying trends and opportunities to improve the ER support and service for our people. Working collaboratively with colleagues to use this insight to evolve and develop ER approaches and solutions.
- In conjunction with the Group Head of Employee Relations, co-ordinate and oversee the Group’s response to employment disputes including Employment Tribunal cases.
- Provide guidance to management on appropriate resolution strategies.
- Ensure successful commercial and reputational outcomes for the Group from both a commercial and PR aspect
- Acting as a visible advocate and role model, creating an environment where our values are consistently demonstrated through your own and colleague’s behaviours.

**Key Skills & Experience of an ER Manager**:

- Significant Employee Relations case management experience and experience of advising on Employment Tribunal claims
- Ability to successfully coach and influence team members and to be the escalation point for complex and high risk ER cases
- Being the trusted partner ensuring that the ER team are focused on delivering business focused solutions but also able to ensure alignment with the wider people plan and initiatives
- Advanced employment law knowledge with evidence of research into complex areas
- The ability to identify the root cause of issues
- Microsoft office skills along with ability to analyse data
- Creating successful working relationship with your client group.
