We are looking for experienced Care Assistants to work weekend hours in a care home based in Arnold.

The care home caters for up to 23 elderly service users who suffer from a range of age-related illnesses.

You will be following personalised care plans to ensure that the service users receive the care that they need throughout the day. To ensure that their quality of life is maintained to the highest possible standard you will take an active part in:

- Personal care
- Assisting with mobility (inc. the use of hoists, slings and rotundas)
- Take an active role in engaging and entertaining the service users
- Ensuring the safety of the service user and environment
- Completing domestic tasks where required

We are looking for people just like you who have experience of dealing with the elderly, dementia and hoisting as well as having the constant desire to enhance their lives in an empathetic and compassionate way.

As a Care Assistant, you will need:

- An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
- Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving & Handling training
- A Referenceable work history
- At least 6 months experience within Elderly / Dementia care setting
- Previous experience in the correct use of hoists and slings

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep
