Venn Group are currently recruiting for an interim OD Advisor for a Local Authority in the South West to support managers and develop proactive HR/OD solutions to drive the business forward.

You will be allocated a core role within the overall spread of work undertaken by the HR/OD service and this core role will normally be aligned to one or more key HR/OD activity areas, such as employee relations and casework (including schools),organisationaldevelopment and learning,policy, etc

This post fall under the Adult’s social care directorate.

**Location**: South West (Hybrid)

**Duration**: 12 Months initially

**Rate**:£170 per day Umbrella

**IR35 status**:Inside IR35

**Responsibilities**:

- Identify opportunities to make proactive changes in work practices that contribute to HR/OD and continuous business improvement by looking for new solutions and innovative ways to solve problems and review whether the changes implemented are effective onan ongoing basis
- Work with the OD Professional Lead for effective planning and analysis to ensure alignment with business priorities
- Act as an ambassador for the Council with partner organisations and customers, particularly with regard to the HR Service’s commercial operations
- Assist the Head of OD Resources and wider stakeholders to analyse and report spend on OD contracts, projects and development programmes and ensure systems are in place to agree, implement and monitor work programmes
- Develop and maintain knowledge of employment terms and conditions covering local government, teaching and fire and rescue staff groups
- Develop areas such as employee engagement, ED+I, corporate learning and development and help devise all-round workforce change+

**Essential experience**:

- Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development or equivalent or working towards CIPD level 5- Associate Diploma
- Understanding of the local government sector, the wider commercial market and new models of service delivery and the challenges facing the sector
- Previous experience in Human Resources and Organisational Development within a large and complexorganisation
