**Dog Day Care Volunteer**

Studying for a qualification in Animal Care or Animal Management or are you looking for a voluntary position to help gain knowledge about your passion? Then look no further

We operate one of Lancashire’s newest and largest dog daycare facilities located on Red Scar Business Park in Preston, Lancashire. Here is where our dogs spend the day playing and socialising in nearly 9,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor space. We are opening our doors to two eager volunteers.

When here you would be working with the dogs each day in the daycare, playing with them and keeping them entertained, and making sure they behave themselves You would also be responsible for cleaning and washing dogs and equipment amongst other duties.

The successful applicant must obviously love dogs, must be physically fit, have excellent communication skills, and be honest and trustworthy.

A passion for animal care and determination to learn is what we look for It is essential that you are comfortable dealing with a large group of excited and playful dogs You must be able to think fast and remain calm in any situation to always ensure the safety of all the dogs.

Within the daycare, our staff to dog ratio is 1:8 and you will be part of a team working together. You should also be happy working in any weather as no matter how hard it rains, our dogs have still got to be exercised and looked after throughout the day All applicants must be eligible to work in this country and provide good references.

We are looking to take people on who’s lifestyle fits in with the hours we work, but above all are keen to learn and get involved

We rely heavily on our team and reliability is absolutely essential for our dogs and their owners. As a voluntary position we'll work with you to arrange hours that suit us both. Please be mindful though, if you agree to come in for certain times/days then we are relying on you - if you aren’t 100% sure you can commit to the times you agree to be available, please don’t apply

- Driving Licence (not essential)
- Preferably studying for a qualification in Animal Care or Animal Management/or looking for a career with dogs.
