**The Position**:
The duties you will be performing as part of your role:

- Lead on processes, curriculum, enrichment, and social integration to support schools and other providers in educating newly-arrived migrant children from Early Years to Sixth Form/16-19 College.
- Ensure all relevant elements of the OCC Migrant Education Framework are supported and delivered across Oxfordshire.
- Support schools, migrant families, and their children in ensuring education readiness at all levels and preparedness for post-18 higher education, employment, and training, including apprenticeships.
- Support schools, migrant families, and their children in ensuring a full understanding of education provision across all stages, including information on learner financial support like student loans.
- Develop training and presentations for migrant families to promote understanding of the UK education system, its culture, and expectations.
- Provide website content to help migrant families and their children understand the UK education system, with signposting to appropriate providers and support organizations.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- Postgraduate qualification in teaching.
- Two or more years of experience in Careers and Guidance/work in schools with a track record of excellence.
- Experience as a Careers Adviser/Head of Careers in a school/college-based environment.
- Strong communication skills and significant experience of dealing with education provision for children and their families.
- Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
- Current driving licence and own transport.
- Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check if successful.

**Rate**:£20.70 per Hour (Umbrella)

**Commencement Date**: April 2024

**Work Hours: Hybrid **37 Hours, Monday - Friday / 9 am - 5 pm
