Delivery Driver of Intelligent Transport Systems

MVIS are the leading supplier of portable Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) predominantly within the Highways Sector in the UK. We manufacture and supply portable Variable Message signs, portable CCTV and other ITS equipment.

We require a delivery and maintenance operative for an immediate start for our Matlock depot. The job involves delivering, setting up and maintaining our 5 colour VMS and Solar IP platform units out on site.

The basic weekly hours are 42.5 plus optional overtime. This is a job that involves a lot of driving and can be anywhere in the UK during busy periods, there may be nights away from home as needed.

The Role:

- Provide service and customer support during field visits and within the depot.
- Manage all on site repair, maintenance, and servicing tasks.
- Diagnose faults or technical problems and determine correct solutions.
- Follow all of the companies’ policies, procedures and processes.
- Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organisation.
- Build positive relationships with customers.

- Towing experience essential and units towed to site or on a beavertail.
- This is a very physical role moving the VMS in to locations on the highway on banks and pavements.
- Must be flexible and able to work nights and weekends when requested.
- Mechanical experience would be an advantage.

**Requirements**:

- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
- English literacy
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
- The ability to work away from home as and when required.
- Must have a clean driving licence.

Beneficial abilities

- HE Passport
- Experience of working within the Highways Industry within roadworks areas.
- First aid trained.
- Lone working experience.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and electrical systems.
- Manual Handling
- Computer literate.
